I thought I’d just post a few old pics that I enjoy. No microphones….That was the only rule/theme for this set.

Last Monday Becky Middleton had an impressive lineup of artists for her Monday night acoustic set. Our local news came by to shoot some video that will play next weekend.
The line up:
Becky Middleton
Chris Holt (of the slack, Sorta, and more)
Camille Cortinas (of Fishing for Comets)
Billygoat Brink

I was just messing around with this pic, but it turned out pretty cool. It is a 180 degree panorama of my backyard. The photomerge wasn’t perfect (far from it) but it still turned out pretty cool.
To see it at full size, click on it, then in Flickr click the “all sizes” button, and then select the original size.

I have been surprised at how many people have asked me for updates on the garden. So, here it is.
Overall things are going well. The smaller (newer) garden is prodcing more agressivly than the older garden. I think the few extra hours of full sun that the smaller garden receives is what is making the difference. My celantro is starting to burn up, and I had to transplant one of the tomato plants into a pot because it started to take over the garden.
I built this little bench as a test to see if it would work and be strong enough. It works really well, and I think I will keep it out there, and also add a 2nd bench at a 90 degree angle to it to add more seating to that end of the deck.
All in all things are going really well with the backyard and with the gardens. Both gardens are doing pretty well and are starting to produce fruit and peppers.
I have been saying that I was going to go to see Fishing For Comets at Opening Bell for the past few months. They impressed me so much at the City Tavern, I was really looking forward to getting the chance see their show again and try to take a few pics. The City Tavern is a great venue, but the night I was there their stage lighting was less than ideal, and I was confident that at a place like OB, with all of their bright white light…. I should be able to get plenty of good pics.
The show did not disappoint. The wine was flowing, the tunes were fantastic, and the crowd was really into the show. They played a few songs with Billy Goat Brink, and then played for over an hour with the full FFC band
FFC rocks. Their stage show is getting more and more refined, and their sound is fun and upbeat. Make sure to check them out if you get the chance!
