I’m Sleepy!!!!!!!
Man, for not doing too much today, I really feel worn out. However, I’m not afraid because sleep will soon find me. I just wanted to take a quick second to share a few pics from the day. I drove to Keller…..wait…was it Keller or California? Either way, I guess it’s about the same difference. ANYWAY! I drove out to go to Ben’s birthday party this afternoon. He had a great turn out with a lot of old friends. Rob and Stacy’s baby Liliana was striking a pose for me when I snapped the pic above.
From there I headed downtown to take a few pics at Standard and Pours. I caught the last half of Erin Condo’s set, and the first half of Taylor Mckenna’s set. Erin has a CD out “Leaving Songs” that is said to be all songs about leaving someone, or being left by someone. She played a few songs from the CD while I was there and I enjoyed them. Her music is a little on the dark side, but seems to fit right in with her country feel and style. I really enjoy her vocal style, and as usual she reminds me of someone that I can’t quite place. Taylor played with a 3 man band cramped up on the little stage at Standard and Pours. They had a light rock sound that was very easy to listen to. I enjoyed both Erin and Taylor, and of course Standard and Pours! I apologize for the short review, but I’m about to pass out!!! I’ll post links to all of the appropriate myspace accounts below the pics. I’ll also add more pics from the night to my gallery soon.
