Fitness Journal, results update

Sorry for the lack of posting in the last few days guys. I’ve been real busy and havent made time to post on here. I’m writing a few other articals that I hope to have ready to go in a few days. For now I’ll just post this qick update.

Ok, I’m a little bit more than a week into this thing, and and here are the most recent numbers. Currently I’m down about 6lbs, and 2 inches off of the belly. I thought that my weight might be a few poulds less at this point, but I think some of that is the added weight in my legs. If the rest of the muscles in my body grew as easily as my legs, I’d be huge. So even though the weight loss numbers are a few pounds less than I expected, I’m still happy with the results based on the 2 inches of belly that are gone. My strength is still improving and I’m not seemingly losing any muscle mass.

More to come soon.

Lost Episode 10, The 23rd Psalm. Mr. Eko and what was in the black somke

Mr. Eko's Stick
Wow, what a wild ride that episode was. They could have called that one “What Mr. Eko Did”, as we learned that Eko was not always the saint of a man that most of us thought he was. The show starts off with an interesting look into Eko’s past when he killed a man as a child for the sake of his baby brother and was then taken away by some kind of rebel group. We then learn that as an adult Eko becomes a thug (killing two more men that we see) and deals in drugs and smuggling. The real kicker is that the plane that went down on the island with the African priests and Virgin Mary statues on board was carrying his heroin and the men on board were his friends, and his brother. It would seem that the moment the plane left without him with his wounded brother and thug buddies on board, he changed his life to become a man of God. Crazy.

The other interesting thing that happened was that the “security” system came back and came after Eko. Big explosions coming out of the ground followed by some “beast” running through the jungle like in early episodes ( I had almost forgotten). It turned out it was a black snake like cloud of thick smoke, and it charged right at Eko who didn’t run or move. It stopped right in front of his face as though it was staring him down. As the camera panned through the smoke/cloud there were a few images that flashed for fractions of a second (It looks like there were a lot mroe pics than I noted in my last blog post). They would seem to be from Eko’s past. Here are pics I found of the images that were in the blacke smoke/cloud that went after Mr. Eko. Rememer all of these images flashed in less than 2 seconds, most people didn’t even realize they were there.

That was the first time they really showed something that was really unexplainable. Most of the crazy things that happen are either explained or left up to you imagination, but they showed the black cloud/smoke snake clearly.

We also got to see some of what was written on Eko’s stick: HATETH, Revelations 3, Titus 3 (or 2 maybe?), TI4 (?), Psalm 23, Colossians around a carved cross. As pictures become available I will add them to this post.

The last big thing that happened was that we find out that Charlie doesn’t’ have one statue of the Virgin Mary filled with heroin that he is hanging onto for a rainy day. He has a whole stash of probably a half dozen of them or more.

Lost: The 3rd Pasalm, what was in the black smoke/ cloud with Mr. Eko

Holly crap this one is wild. I’ll write more later, but I went frame by fram with my DVR to see what was in the black cloud that came after Eko. It was hard to see, but this is what I got:

African woman with a head dress, African man young. Balding white man looking down? Upside down pic of Echo? Big African man. Young African woman.

BACK TO THE SHOW I go.

New LOST episodes back on the air, double episode tonight: Revelation and The 23rd Psalm

I promised not to post any worksafe videos if I couldn’t find any that didn’t make me laugh, so today I had to skip. Have no fear, I will have more up Friday, and you can always check the worksafe video archive .
LOST season 2 continues tonight with a double episode. The first episode comes on at 7:00 Central time ( Lost: Revelation), and looks like it will be an overview of everything that has happened so far since the begening of the show. Then at 8:00 Central, “The 23rd Psalm” will start us off where we left off several weeks ago. It looks like Charlie’s favorite statue of the Virgin Mary will get him in some hot water with Claire and Mr. Eko, and our hippy friend Sawyer is rumored to be getting a haircut. I’m ready to see what other madness will be in store for us. 24, season 5 starts this weekend also. Man I’m going to have a lot to write about. My DVR will be busy for the next few months.

Google Video Store review, and Intel powerd Macintosh

Man, what a busy week. I’ve had several posts that I’ve wanted to make and not been able to because I’ve been so freakn’ busy at home and at work. So I’ll try to sneak this one in quickly with a few interesting bullet points.

video.google.com
Google Video Store:
If you guys have never used video.google.com , you should check it out. It has streaming video of just about everything under the sun that it has downloaded when the googlebots go crawling around the internet. You can stream video at high speed that you would otherwise have to find on someones site, and then wait on their slow connection to downlowad. They just announced that they are going to open the Google Video Store as an additon to video.google.com. Here they will offer different shows, sporting events, and movies for sale. They just announced it yesterday and they already have everything from Survivor to The Brady Bunch available for downloading. You can see the Video store as the top line of videos on video.google.com. You get a 30 second preview before you purchase. I checked out a few they had available, and I was disappointed in the quality of the video. It seemed to be pretty low resolution. They eve It looks like they are trying to go head to head with Apple who you can currently download videos for a small fee of shows like Lost, and Desperate House Wives. I will be interested to see if Google upgrades the quality of the footage, and I believe that will be necessary for them to go head to head with iTunes downloads.

Intel powered Macs are rolled out:
Apple released the Intel dual core processor powered iMac ahead of the anticipated release date. It looks like Intel’s focus on high performance chips that are highly energy efficient for laptop/mobile use has been the catalyst for Apple to boot Motorola and IBM as their primary providers of processors. Blake tells me that the new Intel machines are already available at the Apple Store. With all of the negative advertisement that Apple used to have that ripped Intel processors apart (like their ads with a Pentium II glued to a snail), it is ironic that Macintosh machines will now have “Intel Inside”.
