Is it just me? Does this bother anyone else?
There are a few things that people do that really just strike me as odd. One of them has to do with parking lots and lazy people. You can observe this phenomenon in several places, but some of my favorites are:
Any mall between Thanksgiving and Christmas.
Wal-Mart (or even just a grocery store).
A Gym.
What do people do when they go to the Mall to Christmas shop, or when they go to Wal-Mart? These places are HUGE, and people go in there and spend hours walking around shopping. Thy will walk miles in some cases during this time and not even think twice about the distance they are covering. These very same people will circle the mall parking lot for 20 minutes looking for a parking spot that is 200 feet closer to the front door than the open spots at the back of the lot. They will follow people coming out of the mall and try to anticipate where they are parked so they can get their spot, and then get territorial when another parking lot shark turns on their blinker to park in “their” spot. I don’t get it!! People will do this at the gym too….and then go inside and spend half an hour on the treadmill or elliptical trainer. Explain that one to me!
I spend enough time in traffic. I spend enough time in the car. Park the damn car and go do what you need to do! Life is too short to be a parking lot shark looking for a spot that will get you 100 feet closer to the place you are about to go walk two miles in!
